Mixie Print E-mail

Staffy, Female, 11 Months Old

(Picture to follow)

Mixie is a typical little staffy that has bundles of energy , is incredibly affectionate and snores when she is asleep. She loves anything to do with water, such as having a bath, and is very playful. She could spend hours running around chasing after toys, although she hasn’t mastered the “bring it back” command yet. Mixie has to live as an only dog, although she appears to get on well with dogs when out for a walk. She will need further training in and around the house, but is very willing to learn and eager to please. Mixie would love to be part of an active family and gets on well with children. She can’t live with cats, as she tends to chase them but is lovely to take for a walk and great to snuggle up with on the sofa.

Misty Print E-mail

Staffy, Female, 2 Years Old

(Picture to follow)

Misty is a great little dog with a lovely all-round temperament. She loves going for long walks and running around the paddock playing with toys. Misty is generally good with other dogs and loves to play with them but should be kept as an only dog as she can be a little dominant. She is very affectionate and loves getting lots of attention. Misty is very good in the car and has previously lived with cats. As well as being housetrained Misty’s general obedience is very good and with the right motivation (food or attention) loves learning new commands. .

Sam Print E-mail

Labrador, Male, Approximately 12 Years old

Lovely Sam came to us as a stray and is looking for a great home with plenty of cuddles. Despite being a bit of an old boy, Sam still likes going for short walks and is always happy to get some fuss. He seems to be good with other dogs and would love a home where he can curl up in front of the fire or in a nice comfy bed. Sam's eyesight is not the best anymore and he is looking for someone that has the time and patience to help him grow old gracefully in a nice and quiet home. Sam would be a great addition to any family and certainly deserves to be looked after and cared for.

Striker Print E-mail

Lurcher/Collie, Male, Approximately 9 Months

Striker is a beautiful puppy that is looking for a lovely home where he can get lots of attention. He is a very bouncy little boy that walks great on the lead and loves to run around the paddock, chasing after toys. Striker likes other dogs and is very playful, he would love to go to a home with another dog to chase around and play with. His ideal home would be with someone that sees him as part of the family and, due to his age, is with someone that wouldn’t leave him for too long. Although Striker has a lovely temperament, he can get a little over excited and be a bit of a handful so would be better with someone that has previously owned a similar dog, such as a collie, and doesn't have young children.

Blue and Pedro Print E-mail

Lurchers, male, 7 years old

Blue and Pedro are two stunning boys, that have to be rehomed together. They are very calm and affectionate, and could spend hours being fussed over. Blue and Pedro just adore people and children and would love to be part of a family where they can get all the fuss they want. Both boys walk very nicely on the lead, are good with other dogs and have had basic obedience training. Racing around together these two still seem like puppies and being somewhere with enough space for them to burn off some energy would be ideal. Unfortunately, these two boys can’t go with cats.

Angel Print E-mail

Staffy x, Female, 4yrs old

Angel is a lovely girl who adores people and loves lots of attention. She has a calm and gentle nature and is very playful. She enjoys nothing more than to race across the paddock, chasing after a toy. When she wants you to play with her she will sit in front of you, with a toy in her mouth, wagging her tail. Her basic obedience is good and she is lovely to take out for nice long walks. Due to her history, Angel does not like other dogs and therefore must be re-homed alone. Ideally she would suit a family who are home most of the time, and should only be with children over 10 yrs of age.

Bruno Print E-mail

Collie X, Male, + - 3 Years

Bruno is the typical teenager of our group. He is a really cute boy, and a real pleasure to be around but sometimes forgets his manners in the excitement. However, when out for a walk he walks very nicely on the lead and his basic obedience is very good, although he gets very distracted with sheep. Bruno is very well socialised and could be rehomed with another dog. He enjoys learning new tricks but would much rather do it when food is on offer. He can be a little posessive with his toys and would therefore be better to live without children. In the summer, Bruno loves to be sprayed with the hose pipe.

Tilly Print E-mail

Greyhound, Female, Approx. 2-3 Years old

(Picture to follow)

This beautiful little girl is looking for a lovely home where she can spend as much time running around as she can lying on the sofa. Tilly is very well socialised and would be happy to live with another dog. She has a very calm and gentle temperament but does not like being left on her own for too long. Tilly is very good with people but can be a little timid at times so would like to go to a home with no young children or cats. Tilly would benefit from living with someone that is patient and understanding as she doesn’t like fireworks and finds it hard to cope during that time of year. In return you would gain one of the most loyal and loving dogs that you could ever ask

Roo Print E-mail

Smooth-haired Fox Terrier, Male, Approx. 7 Months old

(Picture to follow soon)

Roo is a real cute. He is a very bouncy little puppy that just wants to spend all day long running around and being fussed. He is very well socialised with other dogs and really enioys racing around the field with them playing chase. Roo’s basic obedience is quite good, although he needs to be house-trained. As he is only a young pup he should go to a home where he won’t be left for very long but can get used to being on his own gradually. His new owners should be experienced with keeping dogs and should have a good understanding of the requirements of this particular breed.

Terry Print E-mail

Terrier X, Male, Approx. 2-3 Years old

Terry is a great little dog that doesn't seem fazed by anything. He is a lovely dog to take for a walk and greatly enjoys running around the paddock chasing after toys. Terry has a lovely and calm temperament and is happy to meet new people and other dogs. He can be very playful and certainly enjoys having a tummy tickle. We unfortunately do not have any history on him but he doesn't appear to be destructive and he is very clean in his kennel. As he came to us as a stray Terry can not be rehomed with children under ten but would be happy with children that are older.

Joey Print E-mail

Bull Terrier X, Male, 1 Year Old

Joey is a lovely little boy who is looking for a fairly active home. He loves running around the paddock, playing fetch and thinks it’s a great game to run towards you and jump at you with great speed. He will therefore need to go to an adults only home, however, with a bit of training and plenty of walks, this should not be a problem for long. Joey is very cuddly and enjoys plenty of fuss. He walks very nicely on the lead, once the initial excitement has worn off, but will need some basic obedience training. Joey would love to find a home with someone that may be interested in doing agility with him, as he certainly knows how to jump.

Ruby Print E-mail

Bull Terrier, Female, 7 Years Old

Ruby is a really sweet girl who enjoys lots of fuss and attention. She came to us through no fault of her own, as her owner unfortunately is no longer able to care for her. Ruby is a bit of a couch potatoe, and would benefit from a home where she is encouraged to go out and about a bit more. She would make a great companion to anyone that is looking for a dog as part of the family and will make a loyal and trusting friend. Ruby is very playful and is good with older children. Unfortunately, Ruby really doesn’t like other dogs and will have to be an only dog.

Scrumpy Print E-mail

Lurcher, Male, 1 year old

Scrumpy is a typical young Lurcher, very playful, and absolutely adorable!! He was abandoned in Southern Ireland, and as a consequence does have some separation anxiety, however as long as he is always with another dog or not left on his own for too long, this isn’t a problem. He is crate trained and also house trained. He is very loving, adores children, but being bouncy would not be good with small ones. He is NOT cat friendly and would benefit from more socialisation with other dogs when out on the lead, (he can pull and bark a little bit when he see’s another dog). He would benefit from some basic obedience training, however off lead he is great, though he has only ever been let him off in secure fields and not parks in towns. He will play with other dogs happily, usually him being the bullied one!! He is fantastic if he meets another strange dog off a lead, no aggression there at all, only barking when on a lead. He always runs near to you and is easy to catch up again. Scrumpy is currently in a foster home, but if you were interested please call Teckels and we can arrange for you to meet him.

Rannouch and Taliska Print E-mail

Trailerhounds, 2 Males, 9 & 10 yrs

Tally and Rannie are our two fabulous Trailhounds that have been at the centre for about one and a half years. These two boys will need to find a home as lovely as they are where they can grow old together. The boys absolutely adore people and children and greatly enjoy being made a big fuss of. Ranny and Tally would love to snuggle up to you whilst watching Eastenders (one of their favourite TV shows) and will repay you with all the love you could ever ask for. Both boys are quite strong on the lead but will walk very nicely on a harness and are also used to being near livestock. They would benefit from a home where they can get the attention that they deserve, and maybe a big garden where they can spend hours exploring all these exciting smells.
