We always have a variety of dogs available at Teckels, or situated in one of our foster homes around the county, which aren't always on our website, so please feel free to call us or pop in to see which dogs are available. When you have chosen a dog that you like, we will come to your home to check that it is suitable and then arrange for you to take the dog home to begin it’s new life with you. Adopting a Dog: We charge a one off adoption fee of £135 (this is to cover all associated veterinary costs. If you can afford any extra, donations towards their care at Teckels is always much appreciated!) Whats included? - Neutering or Spaying (if under 6 months a voucher will be issued)
- 1st part of their annual vaccination
- Microchip
- Behaviour Advice Booklet
- Worming and Flea Treatment
Can you give one of these dogs a home? |

Maggie |
Cairn terrier X, Female, 9 Months old Little Maggie is a very energetic little dog that is looking for an active home with plenty of walks and play time. She is great with people and thoroughly enjoys lots of cuddles and chasing toys around the paddock. She will require further socialisation with other dogs and some more obedient training. Further house training may be required. She loves car travel. Unknown with cats. |

Sid |
Tan and White Staffie X Dig, Approx. 2 1/2 Years Old Through no fault of his own, Sid is available for rehoming to any responsible, long-term home, with or without children, and either as an only dog (ideally on a 'dog-share' basis) or with a soft-breed bitch. Good on and off lead, he really needs 2 x 30 minute minimum off-lead walks per day, is interactive with other dogs when off lead, has no separation issues and adores car travel. He is in essence a family pet. For further information, please contact Sarah on (01594) 826-397, leaving a clear message if not in, or ring Teckels on (01452) 740-300 |

Redz |
Staffie, Male, 4 Years Old Redz is great with people and children. Not good with other dogs or cats. He is quite strong on the lead but walks nicely on a harness. Loves chasing after toys in the paddock. Very playful and affectionate. Fully housetrained and good in the car. |
Keno |
German Shepherd, Male, 4 Years old Keno is a lovely GSD that is looking for a nice family home. He would be suitable to be rehomed with children and is good with most other dogs. Keno is a real pleasure to take out as he walks nicely on a lead. Great in the car and fully housetrained. He enjoys the company of people and is very playful. Not good with cats. |

Amber |
Staffie, Female, Approx. 2 Years Old
Amber is very sweet natured little dog that is looking for a home with somebody that has previous experience of owning a dog. She can be quite nervous around new people and needs to be rehomed with someone that does not have frequent visitors the the house or visiting young children. Once she gets to know someone she is very affectionate and very playful. She walks nicely on the lead and knows basic obedience commands. She has to be rehomed as an only dog and can not live with any children under the age of ten. Can't live with cats. |

Rannouch and Taliska |
Trailerhounds, 2 Males, 9 & 10 yrs Tally and Rannie are our two fabulous Trailhounds that have been at the centre for about one and a half years. These two boys will need to find a home as lovely as they are where they can grow old together. The boys absolutely adore people and children and greatly enjoy being made a big fuss of. Ranny and Tally would love to snuggle up to you whilst watching TV and will repay you with all the love you could ever ask for. Both boys are quite strong on the lead but will walk very nicely on a harness and are also used to being near livestock. They would benefit from a home where they can get the attention that they deserve, and maybe a big garden where they can spend hours exploring all these exciting smells.

Lady |
Lady, 4 year, spayed X-breed bitch
Lady adores all people and is fine with dogs at large, but has always been an only dog and seems more settled as an only dog. No separation issues, excellent off lead, requiring medium level exercise daily (2 x 30 minute walks off lead minimum), good in car. Ok with feral or very dog-stoical cats – will chase but without intent. As matter of routine only, no children under 6 years. Has always been allowed on furniture so will assume it will be in the next home, so consider this habit before adopting her. House-training may need topping up after this stint in kennels |

Lacey |
Staffie, Female, 3 Years Old
Lacey can be a bit nervous around new people but is very affectionate with people she knows. Very playful and nice on the lead. She loves food, toys and cuddles. Not good with other dogs or cats. Would be suitable to live with older children. |
Stanley |
Staffie X, Male, 1 Year Old
Stanley is a young, active dog that is looking for a home where he can get plenty of exercise. Beautiful on the lead. Stanley is very playful and affectionate and appears to be good with most other dogs. Unfortunately as we don't have any previous history on him he can not be rehomed with children under the age of 10. Cats unknown. Fully housetrained. As he is still a young dog he would benefit from further obedience training, responds well to food and toy rewards. |
Max |
Staffie, Male, + - 3 Years
Max is a typical staffie with bundles of energy. He is very playful and food motivated. Lovely to take for a walk. Unknown with cats. He is looking for a home without young children (teenagers would be suitable) and with somebody that is happy to invest some more time training him. When excited Max mouthes, but with the right training this will be easy to rectify as he is easily distracted with food and toys. He is clicker trained. As Max came to us as a stray we don't have any previous history on him. |
Rammy |
Approx. 2 Years Old, Neutered, Greyhound X, Male
Rammy is looking for an experienced home with somebody who has the physical ability of handling a large, at times very strong dog. He is good both with people and most other dogs, but can not be allowed off-lead near livestock or unknown small breed dogs (particularly when moving). Rammy is obedient and has basic obedience commands, but lacks recall and may only be let off led in confined spaces such as a field. His favourite game is playing tug-of-war with people. Because he came to us as a stray he can not be rehomed with children under ten, nor with cats nor small mammals. He has no known separation issues and might suit working people. |
